At The Village Indiana, we believe lasting transformation happens through relationships, community support, and shared responsibility. That belief comes to life through The Village Mentor System, a proven mentoring framework developed and licensed by NEXT Enterprises, LLC. Built around the HUTS model, Healing, Uplifting, Transforming, and Strengthening, the system equips mentors, strengthens families, and mobilizes communities to help every young person thrive.
1. Hubs
Local community spaces, especially churches, serve as Community Hubs by providing safe gathering places, trusted relationships, and a foundation for recruiting and developing mentors.
2. HUTS
Each HUTS Group is a small mentoring community where trained adult mentors and youth meet consistently to build relationships, develop life skills, and grow together through the HUTS journey: Healing, Uplifting, Transforming, and Strengthening.
3. Reviving the Village Curriculum
Every HUTS Group follows the 30 week Reviving the Village Curriculum, equipping mentors with a proven framework for meaningful conversations, life skills, spiritual formation, and personal growth.
4. Parent Enrichment
Parents and caregivers participate in enrichment experiences that provide practical tools, encouragement, and opportunities to strengthen family relationships while reinforcing what students are learning through the mentoring program.
5. Village Alliance
The Village Alliance connects Community Hubs into one collaborative network that shares resources, develops mentors, strengthens families, and expands mentoring opportunities throughout the community.
